The Project

Project 40 Pounds is a weight loss goal by Kevin Gordon .

My plan is to lose 40 pounds between today (July 3rd, 2009) and September 30, 2009, just shy of 3 months. I will need to loose 3lbs a week each and every week to finish my goal. This is not the first time I have attempted to loose weight, infact I have been trying for years to get under 200lbs. and Ive always been so very close.

Right now, I am 213.6lbs according to my scale. My goal is to reach roughly 175lbs.

Here is how I will do it.
  • Run 2km every morning when I wake up (I do this occasionally now)
  • Cycle every day to and from work, (I generally do this, but keep falling off the wagon)
  • Go to the gym 3 days a week
  • Eat High protein, low carb healthy foods
  • Avoid junk food, processed food, sugars and other bad stuff

This blog is my log of my progress. I use a program called FitDay to track my progress on my PC but will be combining that with information from MapMyRide.com to this blog for you to read.
